Citi notified us that they could cut our house payemnt in half. Of course we went into office. however as I was there I ask them why they did this as we did not request it. we signed paperwork not being told what it was or why but being grateful our payment was going down we did not pursue any further clarification.

After falling behind on our mortgage, my wife and I tried to work out a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. Nationstar ignored all of our requests and then 60 days prior to the foreclosure sale said that we did not qualify.

they let us do a loan modification and in the process they took all of our equity,we bought the house for 135000. and now owe 159000. and we have lived there for 4 1/2 years

My mortgage is with CitiFinancial. I am Disable, and my interest rate was 9.32% because I had one loan Modifacation, did\’nt know that it was temporary 07/27/2009 until 01/01/2010. And when I tried to get another modification they denied me. Right now me and the wife are disable and our income is just enought to pay our utilities and keep food in the house.I want to know what to do?

Citifinancial Mortgage is a sub prime branch lending institution using
excessively high interest rates, mine is 12%, in a market of 2-4%. They used
their flexibility by using predatory lending by not including taxes and
insurance in their mortgage loans. \”Red lining\” is being used in my area
because my home value is only $45,000.00 in the current market yet I am being
charged the same as in 10 years ago $97,000.00. I have worked with them
diligently in trying to qualify for the HAMP program for 6 months…yet it has
been 2 years and they were accepting $870.00 monthly until they said that I did
not qualify. Now they are demanding $1,200.00 monthly and they want
$20,000.00 in arrears because of my reduced payment arrangements. I am being
threatened into foreclosure or into selling my home and neither of these

tried working with mtg co but they won\’t do perm modification and they keep adding interest on back end

Applied for loan modification through HUD counselor, was told to not pay mortgage until they approved. Still have not gotten an answer over a year, and they tried to auction house off. Had loan since 1988; almost done paying it off. Had to filed chapter 13 bankruptcy to stop foreclosure. They would not even tell me the amount to bring loan current. Stated they would mail a letter.
